Wilde Ganzen processes personal data and other data in accordance with the applicable legislation. This privacy statement sets out the considerations in this regard.

Applicability

This privacy statement applies to the processing of personal information provided by donors, gifts, volunteers, collectors, participants, newsletter subscribers, job applicants, project applicants and relations (hereafter: Personal Data), as well as data obtained from visiting and using the websites of Wilde Ganzen.

Processing of Personal Data

Wilde Ganzen handles personal data confidentially and carefully. Wilde Ganzen collects personal data when you donate (online and otherwise), subscribe to the newsletter (your email address and permission for sending), visit Wilde Ganzen events and activities, if you apply for a job with Wilde Ganzen and if you register a project with Wilde Ganzen.

These data are processed for the purposes of:

  • Establishing and implementing your donation and/or membership;
  • Sending you the newsletter;
  • Recruiting volunteers and collectors;
  • Starting up fundraising projects;
  • To comply with legal obligations;
  • (direct) marketing purposes;
  • Handling disputes, questions and complaints;
  • Processing applications;
  • optimizing the functioning of the website; analyzing and improving our services;
  • analyzing donor data and creating donor profiles, with the aim of matching our fundraising campaigns as closely as possible to the wishes and behavior of our donors. We strive for appropriate communication to the right person at the right time and want to avoid as much as possible the pressure from communication channels and thus irritation of the donor and waste of resources. We do not use any special personal data and do not use the results for decisions that have legal consequences or significant impact on the donor.

Wilde Ganzen collects data such as (company) name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, date of birth and bank details, data relating to transactions, donations, participation data, or data that is relevant if you contact us or contribute financially to our objectives as a donor, volunteer, collector, job applicant or participant in one of our actions or events.

In addition to the personal data you yourself provide to Wilde Ganzen, we may collect, record and process data about your use of our website(s). This includes data about the devices you use, such as a unique device ID, the version of the operating system, and settings of the device you use to visit Wilde Ganzen, as well as data about the use our website, such as the time of day you visit us and the topics you view. We also look at how well our newsletter is read by tracking ‘opens and clicks’.

Sometimes Personal Data is validated by Wilde Ganzen or combined with information from external sources. This is how we keep our database up-to-date.

Facebook & Google

Wilde Ganzen makes use of the Facebook Conversion API and Enhanced Conversions by Google. The information we collect with these tools cannot be traced back to individual persons. The privacy of the user is thus guaranteed. We use these techniques to be able to advertise in a more targeted way. It enables us to approach people again who have already shown an interest in Wilde Ganzen campaigns or activities on other websites.

Wilde Ganzen uses the email address of its donors and relations for Custom Audience targeting via Facebook. Wilde Ganzen creates a Custom Audience by uploading email addresses of its members into a Facebook advertising tool. This group can then be linked to a specific Facebook campaign: only these Facebook users will see the campaign. Read more about Custom Audience targeting.

Your rights

We use your data in order to help you as best we can and/or to inform you in writing, by email or by phone about our activities. You can always and without cost gain insight into your data being processed by Wilde Ganzen and, if desired, have it changed or removed. If you wish, you can also receive your contact, address and bank details from us in a machine-readable format, for example because you wish to pass them on to another institution. You can also object to receiving specific information about our services that we send you by e-mail, telephone, post and/or SMS. You can report this to Wilde Ganzen, by sending an e-mail or a letter to info@wildeganzen.org or Wilde Ganzen, Piet Mondriaanlaan 14, 3812 GV Amersfoort, The Netherlands.

You may also ask us to delete your data from our database. It may happen that we are not always allowed to comply with this. For example, if you have been a donor to us, the tax authorities require us to keep agreements for 7 years. Also, if you ask us not to contact you with marketing again, we need to remember your name in order to exclude you from our future campaigns. If we do not comply with your request, we will of course inform you of the reason.
